CrossFit-SWAT runs for Ovarian Cancer Awareness
Monday, August 3rd, 2009September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month. CrossFit-SWAT is forming a team to run in the Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Cancer Walk and 5K Run . Funds raised by the Ovarian Awareness Event activities are used to support ovarian cancer research at Duke University Medical Center. The main focus of the Gynecologic Oncology laboratory research group is molecular studies that aim to elucidate the etiology of ovarian cancer.
