Grappling Diva wins NAGA NC Championship
Tuesday, July 21st, 2009Our favorite Grappling Diva, Nicky Brownley-Franker, won the Women’s Beginner Light Heavyweight Championship on July 11th, 2009 in Charlotte, NC. An aggressive takedown and strong positioning skills led to a quick north-south choke and tap-out submission victory over her more experienced opponent. Satisfied with her recent victory, Nicky has not let up but rather has drawn motivation and confidence from her experience. She is currently preparing for Grapplemania in Henderson, NC on July 25th, 2009. Congratulations to Nicky and thanks to all her teammates and coaches. We look forward to great things from Nicky and her team in the very near future.
